God Search Me…

God Search Me!

Do you ever ask God to test your heart?  and see what’s truly inside and allow God to reveal what you fall short on? Asking God to seek and search your heart is a great way of drawing closer to Him, and to find a more clear understanding of who you are as a person.  The more we seek God with our hearts the more we become more like Him.  Sure we are still going to sin, but it will be fewer and farther in-between.  Allow God to seek your heart for anxious thoughts, and ways that might be offensive to others, and lead our hearts to understanding God ways.  We will never understand His ways if you are not drawing closer to Him each and everyday.  I pray that you will have the courage to do what is needed to draw closer to God.  AMEN!!

Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Who Moved, You Or God?

Do you seek God with all of your heart or just a part?  Do you ever wonder if God is hearing you call out to Him in prayer?  Who do you think moved, you or God?  God has never moved away from you but is always by your side waiting for you to find Him with your heart. Seek Him out with all your heart and you will find Him.  Don’t go to Him with just a partial heart but seek Him fully and with all your heart and see how God will respond to you. God wants all of us to be in Him, not just bits and pieces or whatever we want to give Him.  It is very dangerous in your relationship with God to be just half way in.  The devil wants to sift you away from God and into his destruction.  If you are seeking God fully with your heart this will never happen. The devil can try whatever he wants but God is there protecting your heart from his evil ways!  I hope that each of you are seeking with your entire heart and not just parts.  See how your life will change when you seek God with everything you are!  AMEN!!
Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Who Surrounds You?

Do you surround yourself with positive people, with people of encouragement, and people that walk with you through life and is there in the bad and rejoicing with you in the good times?  Surrounding yourself with these type of people is like when your sharpen iron with iron. It makes you stronger and allows you to work through the tough times with loved ones along with you. If you surround yourself with negative people, people that bring you down, and people that just don’t care but for themselves, it’s like letting the air out of your life and bringing you down. Surrounding yourself with positive, God loving and caring people will not only make you a better Christian but will also make you a better person in all aspects of your life. I encourage you to pray for those negative people in your life and they see Jesus in your life.  AMEN!!

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

The New is Here, and The Old is Gone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  Just a few days ago was the start of the new year.  2016 is no more and 2017 is a new start for each of us.  This is just like what Paul says in Corinthians, the new creation has come; the old has gone and the new is here.  This is talking about your relationship with Jesus Christ but is the same for your life.  This is a great correlation with your relationship with Christ going from a non-believer to a follower of Christ.  So today is the new start of your life and the new start or restart with your relationship with Jesus Christ.  Isn’t great that we can start a new relationship with Jesus even though you may have had one before, now let’s make it stronger than ever.  And if you never have had a relationship with Jesus, this is a great time to start.  By having this new start with Jesus it will change your life forever and getting rid of the old is the best thing we could ever do.  We should always strive to be better and having a better relationship with Jesus is the best way this will happen. AMEN!!

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

It’s Finished, 2016

One of the best things about ending a year and starting a new one is that you can get rid of the old self and start with the new self.  2016 is now about gone and we will never have to see this year again.  For some, this year was a year full of blessing, for some, this past year was full of sorrows and hardships, and for others this year was just another year, nothing big or small really happened this past year.  Well we each have a choice and today is a great day to make that choice.  Our choice is, we can carry 2016 into 17 or we can start a new and better life, a better self that is more like Christlike and less sinful life in 2016.  Today is the beginning of the end of the old self and the beginning of the beginning of the new self. Let our attitudes be like Christ, give us new ways of thinking, and make us more righteous and holy like never before. Here is the key of the new self without reverting back to the old, you must do it with Jesus Christ as the center of your life and not the old self like before.  I pray that each and everyone of you will have the desire to let the old be old and allow the new to become the new you forever.  Amen!  Have a happy and blessed New Year of 2017!

Ephesians 4:22-24

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Do You Trust The Expert?

No matter where you are in your walk with Jesus, He is right there next to us walking this journey of life with us.  He will always protect us from the evil one and guide us through. We must listen to His calling and words so that He can direct us down the path of righteousness. Right now you might be struggling with life, bad habits, addictions, children, spouses, friends, your career, or a number of other things, but Jesus is right there with you. Allow Him to help you through these seasons of your life and give you the perseverance during this season. Never take your eyes off of Jesus and think you can do it alone or you don’t need Him.  Why wouldn’t you use Jesus to help you? He’s a lot better at dealing with this season than you are, trust the expert and your Lord and Savior.  No matter where you are, He is with you each step of the way.  AMEN!!

2 Timothy 3:3-5

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Giving With A Boastful Heart or Quiet Heart

How much time do you give to people that are less fortunate?  Do you tithe in your church? Do you give to organizations, or to other things that help with the needy or less fortunate?  If so, are you boastful about it and tell everyone how much you give and the organizations you give to?  Giving your time and money is a wonderful thing and Jesus asks us to give without anyone knowing.  Don’t let your right hand know what your left hand gives.  God sees what is done in secret and what is done in a boastful way.  God will reward you for giving in secret so let’s give our time and money in secret so that we bring good things to God our Father.  God asks us to do this so we won’t get a proud heart and be boastful in what we do or give.  I know some people that give lots of money to the church, they tell everyone that they are the biggest givers and they expect to have more control in the church than the others that give less.  This is one of the reasons why God wants us to give in secret.  I encourage you to give more of your time and money in this upcoming year 2017, but in doing so let’s keep it between you and God.  When you do you will see rewards from Him.  AMEN!!

Matthew 6:3-4

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,  so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
